Just wondering if anyone else here is on it?
I am on as Bruce Ritchie, nice to see other routes and a bit of friendly comparisons of ride times.
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 14years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

There's already a club set up:
Yep, there's a 'City Cycling Edinburgh' club on Strava and you can see folk in there.
Thank you, joined.
"There's already a club"
"73 members"!
Who are all these people??
Most aren't using their proper (CCE) names!!
Well I am there under a recognisable name, so you can all see how slow I am now :-0
Joined too.
joined!
And me (a bit earlier today).
Now we can all have fun trying to match real names to CCE ones...
Also joined.
I'm there. I wish I could say it was under some extravagant alias like Chamford Sideplate but I'm just under my actual name.
"Now we can all have fun trying to match real names to CCE ones..."
I think you got that the wrong way round...
Or we could simplify things by just declaring our Strava names, so here goes, "I'm Spartac... erm, actually no I'm not, I'm just Smudge H-S" :-)
Got round to uploading my commuting week thus far. Yawn, really.
Or we could simplify things by just declaring our Strava names
Strava name = real name, so too obvious in my case.
Maybe we can offer clues? I'll start: I like hills.
CCE name = Strava name = real name = lack of imagination
You could try work out who is who by where they have been / going to.
With my reverse Fife commute I should be fairly easy to work out. (If my name hasn't already given the game away).
I live in Lancashire so my rides are easy to spot if you're looking. Not so much recently as I've been in Spain, Edinburgh and Wales, with more of the latter to come on Wild Wales Challenge this Sunday.
Cheers Amir. I'm looking forward to it, though with a little trepidation. We roll into Dinas Mawddwy after almost 80 hilly miles and really Bwlch y Groes is the only way back to Ride HQ in Bala. I'm aiming to remain clipped in all the way but if I have to walk so be it.
I walked a couple of steep bits on last year's event but had the excuse of being baulked by people spinning in lower gears than I possess. With the B-y-G coming much later in the day I doubt I'll be able to call on that reason this year!
I still have nightmares about Bwlch y Groes. Did it last year as part of Cambrian Coast Sportive and have to admit I got off and walked. I thought I was doing okay until I started seeing others get off and then my mind gave in - if it was acceptable for them to get off it was acceptable for me to get off. My legs didn't object to stopping. Good luck.
