If HankChief can make it then, in gratitude, I propose we buy him all the drink that he can physically consume (and then some more)

    Do I have a seconder?

@Stickman yes I think there's at least 1 or 2 people who deserve a "rider" in the other sense.

Also, we should campaign to have the Roseburn section of the route named the WhaleyWay.

The WhaleyWay. Change at Roseburn for the RailwayWay

    Thanks for the words...

I should say I dropped out of the inner circle of POP to spend more time with my family and ended up taking on Roseburn.

Running a campaign is physically & mentally taxing, but has been made easier by the excellent support I have on here and from the many people in Roseburn who have contacted us.

The cycle revolution will come but we need people to get involved and take on the roles at the front of the campaign(s) and just behind.

Please do step forward and offer what you can where you can, whether is is local to you, citywide or national. Don't for a minute think that those active now know what they are doing - most of the time we are flying by the seats of our pants and mistakes do happen, but it better to try and fail than not try at at all...

I would like to come, and would insist on buying drinks for various people including HankChief, but for him in particular I would also like to contribute to a box of alka-seltzer

And poll to try and divine a date (this can take a while, judging from past experience)

@Fimm if I have deciphered my acronyms correctly, then congratulations. Presumably in the fullness of time he will be upgraded again to HoF or even the Hoff?

LoL @ the Hoff... yes you are correct, @sallyhinch, thank you. (To be honest we've been talking about getting married for a while, it is just that we've finally decided that we should do it!)

    The 3 most mutually convenient dates suggested by the meetomatic based on responses to date are;

    Friday 7th October 2016
    Friday 14th October 2016
    Friday 30th September 2016

Can I be bold and suggest we agree on Friday 14th October as I can make that one ;-)

Happy to be flexible if someone wants to suggest a public house...

Quite a fan of Hemma on Holyrood Rd for gathering in daylight hours.

Akva is basically just Hemma but on the canal. Good access from most sides of city, avoids traipsing folk down to the Holyrood area which is no cycling Mecca.

Post bed time or post work?

My assumption is that it's post childrens' bed-times to allow the sprogwranglers amongst us to discharge our parental duties before partaking.

Aw, the 7th is the only one I could have managed. Maybe there could be a Christmas pub visit at a later date?

@unhurt we had a great night years back in The DIggers, I always think of that boozer as a Christmas time pub.

I would be happy to go again.
