And if you think this is just another anti-cyclist rant from a driver, it’s not. Nine times out of ten, I’m on two wheels too.

Full of the 'usual' 2nd hand 'opinions' and lack of facts/stats.

    Disappointing.

Do more cyclists than drivers break the law? I think we need some investigative journalism...

About all I could be bothered to tweet about this particular piece of crap.

  4. Before I go in I'm going to make a few guesses...

    Red lights
    Pavements
    Lights at night
    Possibly light clothing and helmets

Wildcard of weaving about the traffic.

I'm giving the benefit of doubt and thinking there's nothing on road tax.

Being a journalist must be a pretty depressing life.

You start the job dreaming of Pulitzer Prizes, being the next Woodward and Bernstein, and holding the powerful to account.

Instead you end up door stepping B-list celebrities, writing about the weight gain of minor royals and defending your phone hacking colleagues. Eventually as your newspaper goes completely down the tubes you are forced to write pathetic click bait like this.

It can't be long before the screens are brought round Johnston Press and it's put out of its misery.

Nine times out of ten, I’m on two wheels too.

Then stop driving your car round corners too fast.

Please don't start tweeting and publicising this nonsence, it only encourages them.

I'd say that article was the work of a chatbot if it wasn't for the 'excuse to be bullied' line. No machine would stoop to that profoundly human level.

A well known story but shows the idiocy of articles like this and that attitudes have at best not changed.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bridget_Driscoll

Bridget Driscoll (1851 – 17 August 1896) was the first pedestrian victim of an automobile collision in the United Kingdom.[1] As she and her teenage daughter May and her friend Elizabeth Murphy crossed Dolphin Terrace in the grounds of the Crystal Palace in London, Driscoll was struck by an automobile belonging to the Anglo-French Motor Carriage Company that was being used to give demonstration rides.

The jury returned a verdict of "accidental death" after an inquest enduring some six hours, and no prosecution was made. The coroner, Percy Morrison, (Croydon division of Surrey) said he hoped "such a thing would never happen again." The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents estimate 550,000 people had been killed on UK roads by 2010.[1]

I agree - this is just a collection of poorly strung together clichés. The title also bears a regrettable similarity with this bizarre and unfortunate recent incident, which is more about the accountability of your actions in this age of social media..

He forgot about going the wrong way down one-way streets. Maybe he'd just read https://aseasyasridingabike.wordpress.com/2015/02/25/using-a-flexible-mode-of-transport-to-break-rules-designed-for-an-inflexible-mode-of-transport/

The Volvo in the picture appears to be driving half in the bus lane, half out.
