I know there are people on here who have children in East Lothian...
(P.s. I know that for many people their legitimate 'environmental' concerns are litter, dog mess etc.)

There is, of course, an environmental impact, especially to travelling to school by car. Motor vehicles are the biggest cumulative CO2 emitters in the world, and it is estimated that around one-fifth of the vehicles on the road at 8.50am are involved in school run. Geography means that some pupils must be taken to school by car … but that doesn’t apply to everyone!
