CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

I have often thought this and was thinking about it again as more horns blared at a motorist yesterday who was too busy poking at his mobile phone to notice the lights had changed. If there had been a cyclist in the ASL, most likely he would have been revving his engine behind them ready to put the foot down as soon as the amber came on. Therefore cyclists speed up traffic.
It's a bit like those flies which some toilet/urinal manufacturers glazed into their products, to try and persuade their dozier users to aim properly. A cyclist provides a similar target-to-beat for an otherwise content-to-putter-along driver.
Perfect analogy!
Far too much information for the delicate ladies, wingpig.
