My favourite response is "Why do cyclists need into the station. If they have a bike why do they want a train?"...
My response is the hyperbole posted under "mellifluous bufo".

CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Seems to be loads of pro cycling folk on countering the usual nonsense. I'm shocked!
@skotl, I assume that was a subtler version of your rant. If so it seems to have been lost on most other commenters. Either way it's pretty funny.
Very good 'rant'.
Mind you, I thought the usual anti-everything EEN commenters were bad until I saw the comments on road.cc under Magnatom's 'karma' video last week...
"CYLCERIST" - Love it!
The whole point about cyclists interacting with pedestrians would be minimised by making the south ramp the main access ramp with a rank of cycle racks where the taxi rank used to be.

Even if you kept the racks where they currently are, south rank access would allow cyclists to get to the racks with the minimum of fuss and conflict.
