So, on my Garmin trace today there are two massive spikes where it suggests i was going 150km/hr - both times near duddlingston loch - out and back. is that something to do with the antenna along there?

If the unit can't pick up the satellites sometimes it all goes a bit haywire. It will depend on the geometry of the sats positions, so it won't often be exactly in the same place every time.

If I were you I'd add your top speed to your AWESOME POWER rating before anyone else notices.

  5. Hmmm, I ride out round Duddingston Loch most days and I can't say in two years of doing so there's ever been a spike (old Edge 200). Might be yours is more sensitive, or as stiltskin says, for some reason it might be having trouble locating the satellites at that point...
