He's trying to justify it now by saying it wasn't a 'blind' bend because he could see the truck, it was only the cyclist he couldn't see because of the tree. Erm. That makes it a blind bend presumably. And now the poor victims are saying you can't say anything about cyclists without being labelled 'anti-bike'.
But things that annoy me about it even more.
First stanza it's a lovely sunny day, second stanza the cyclist appears 'amidst the gloom'
'Dissolved out of the shadows'? Dissolved? Someone doesn't know their basic chemistry and what dissolved means.
'Peddling' - it's 'pedalling'!!!!! Gah!
Basically if you wear black you're asking to die. Don't think that's what he's saying, well...
Left to cyclist’s discretion – most choose dark clothes to look cool,
Putting onus on us drivers - as our jobs to spot the fool.
But it's far, far more than looking good and pleasing to the eye,
It's more about the choice they make - to live or risk to die
Apparently wearing something bright would have made the cyclist visible. Despite the fact he was behind a tree....
200 deaths plucked out of thin air. As pointed out above, no bearing on reality...
I despair.
