I have nothing much to add to what EEN commentariat have already said. Couple of numpties looking for a fight: which they will lose.

Both look like their health would benefit from a bit of active travel.

Sheriff’s officers visited the couple’s home last month with an arrestment order for the Dacia Stepway Sandero, valuing the car at £1700 – a figure the Bonelles argue is far less than they paid for it in 2013

@kaputnik - beat me to it, even in an article jammed full of crap journalism and nonsense, that stands out.

Seems pretty well signed to me: Streetview

although I wonder if the Google car (and associated other cars) had permission to drive in it, unless the images were captured outside 7am to 7pm.

Judging by Autotrader, a 2013 Dacia Sandero in 2015 is worth a lot more than £1700.

  8. Not seeing those signs, the paint on the road, and the big information screen to the left! They should be thankful it was just "signs" they didn't see and not a cyclist or pedestrian. If I were a prosecutor I've be charging them with driving without due care and attention.

Of course what they have done is wrong, yet seizing a car valued even at £1700 for payment of a £274 fine seems a bit criminal in itself.

Seems a bit odd could they not have made payment with out prejudice while still going through the appeals process then taken the council to court to try and recover the 30 , council may have folded as would be more in cost to defend as below any allowable costs.

I love how their car is parked on a double yellow in the photo.

Edit: Might be a single yellow. Think I'm confusing the kerb with a line though it's hard to see.
