    Suzanne Forup and I want to widen out the organisation of the Women's Cycle Forum and put it on a more sustainable footing as something that will act as a platform for women's voices in cycling and also a network across Scotland (there is also a UK group brewing).

    If any other women here are interested in being part of this please come along to the Royal Dick at 6pm to consider how best we can achieve this.

    Info here https://womenscycleforum.wordpress.com/2016/01/11/womens-cycle-forum-scotland/

    If you are planning on coming and you're on Facebook you can let us know here https://www.facebook.com/events/904260919651036/ (not compulsory but helps in case we need to book a room or something)

    I'm clearly going to have to get everyone to introduce themselves by real name, twitter handle and CCE login...

    Please note the new venue (Clerk's Bar) as the Royal Dick is closed for refurbishment and can't guarantee it will be open in time.

    I still plan to be there too. Since I'm apparently incapable of travelling to any social event without using a bike, is Clerk's Bar amenable to folded bikes?

    Surely they've not booked a venue without bike parking??!

    Good pub I am sure they would let you in with a folder. They have the booths at the bck for committee meetings. Might be racks across at the bank building?

    @gembo

    I had the same thought...but that's Clark's Bar we're thinking of.

    Happy days.

    There are two Sheffield stands by the bank opposite, and one or two on the other side of Lutton Place, and two stands marooned outside Ladbrokes at the junction.

    According to the map there are some others nearby. I'll reserve judgement until I'm there. Only in Edinburgh (possibly) could you ride a Brompton and still have to carry a padlock.

    Hi, I'd like to be involved with this. I can't make it along tonight, as I have a less exciting meeting to go to.

    Having been pressed for a more clear prehensile* report:

    This us what I said on wcf FB page "Well, that was fun. We talked, ate, drank, talked, did mini-fashion show, talked, etc. Met some cool new (to me) folk, and was pleased to see some old friends, who I didn't manage to talk to enough. Good fun indeed."

    I typed comprehensive, but maybe autocorrect knows better?

    Food in clerk's bar at bottom of dundas street? What next? You'll be telling me they are hosting fashion shows?

    Sounds good
