CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Next week
(Somewhere)
I was being a bit tongue-in-cheek with "let's go to the Roseburn cafe"...
Is it worth pointing out that this is a real world meet-up of CCE folk (contributors, casual observers and friends) at Peter's Yard coffee shop on Middle Meadow Walk. Usually happens on the last Friday of each month, from about 0730 to around 0915.
If you like chatting about bikes, cycling and pretty much anything else then come along. Usually find everyone at the big long table - should be fairly obvious.
Oh yes, I intend to be there, bright and early :-)
BBC weather windspeed for 8AM in Edinburgh is 63MPH, with accompanying double raindrop cloud! I'll take a call in the morning as to whether the weather is conducive to leaving the house.
Should we postpone til next week?
I will come into Edinburgh by bike (maybe canal)
ETA?
Wind assist time reduction calculation?
8a.m. If road. 8.15 if canal?
Looks like 8-9 will be the worst part of the day. I may work from home.
Some of us don't have the option to work from home. That being the case I will probably swing by PY for the late shift, though the torpedo may stay wrapped up at home if the weather is too weathery.
I have stacks of marking. Best done where I will be less interrupted than at work, where 'work' is apt to intervene.
Hope everyone is safe out there.
Revision of ETA as taking sit up and beg bike down the muddy WoL path so will swing by PY at 8.30
Reclining in around 8.
I have decided / been persuaded by Boyfriend of fimm that it is sensible to cycle as little as possible in this wind. So I am already on the train (which is on time, too). How about next week?
I'm here. Quiet so far....
Fairly compact PY meet up today. Roibeard, Friskiffla, Gembo, Laid Back, Morningsider and me. Nice to see everyone again.
It was nice to catch up, the real time lurker who is always there was there too. also the man with the lovely burgundy shade of nail varnish
