    Well certainly the new £5 advance single fares are a great deal and make catching the train quite a bit cheaper than previously... :-)

    It has pretty animations but doesn't actually give you data other than start and end.

    Pity the data doesn't go back further than the late 1990s (the era of "peak car" allegedly, except for viewers in Scotland). Imagine if it went back to WW2, then I imagine we'd see a picture of staggering decline, with a recovery over the past 20 years but along specific routes.
