IT’S TRUE!

Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

Noticed today that the 50mph bit of Braid Hills Drive is now just 40mph. This maybe happened a while ago, and I just didn't notice.
I think this means that there are now no roads actually in Edinburgh with a speed limit above 40mph. There are still a few roads on the very edge of the city which are 50mph - Gilmerton Station Road and the A1 at Newcraighall for example.
@Frenchy - Yes I noticed this too.... unfortunately after I'd moved office and therefore no longer regularly travel over it!
Still can't help thinking that given the width of the road some decent infrastructure could be put in place. really needed travelling east to to west as there are several places where the margin of the road has sunk creating a "tramline" in Secondary that could easily have you coming off!
There's plenty in Rural West Edinburgh which are 50 or more. Turnhouse road might be the only one which would be considered to be in the City and not just Council Area. Although it's rural you can't get anywhere that isn't part of Edinburgh by going along it.
