Prompted by fimm's observation on the other thread that she'd not heard from the Harrison Park Feeder Ride people...

So I'm organising the Harrison Park Feeder Ride again and would be really grateful for some marshals to help with that. I've contacted the Council, the Police and the Parks Department and have a piece of paper that says we are an official 'Parade' and we have official permission to use Harrison Park. The Police have committed to give it the 'necessary attention', but in my discussions with them so far they are a little vague about what that will be.

What they have said is that they will, at least, have someone at the King's Theatre to get us across that junction. I've asked that we have two bike cops to come with us the whole way (like in 2013) but they are still thinking about that.

Anyway, I do need some marshals to help with the ride. If we're making our own way from HP to the King's, it would be good to have some charmingly assertive smiley people to take over the Polwarth Roundabout to get everyone across in short order and to help keep things moving smoothly.

    Can you help?

    Piffle.
    I can't really do both, can I?
Where do people reckon I'm needed most?

...at the moment I don't have ANY marshals to help with the HP ride except fimm, so I'd say you'd be most help on the HP ride. However we should be at the Meadows by 1130, so I don't see why you couldn't do both.

@CyclingEdin @davidfkeySNP @gavincorbett happy to help, if really required ... but would much rather be a regular-participant ;-)

    Just spotted this.

Any marshals wanting to do this can! Just come and find me at the head of the procession when you arrive at the meadows.

@greenroofer. Want me to get you some blue tabards for marshals on Saturday morning?

Planning to do my recce of the route tonight.

Anyone know anything about temporary traffic lights on Gilmore Place?

@arobcomp - can I pick up a couple of tabard for the West Edin Feeder tonight?

There are no temp lights on Gilmore Pl. at the moment (rode it this morning). However there are 3 sets of regular lights and a roundabout between HP and the Kings. Mr Greenroofer and I have been discussing the best strategy, but discussions are inconclusive thus far.

If the Roseburn ride joining up with the HP one?

Some previous HP rides have gone via Bruntsfield, but if you have police waiting at the King's Theatre...

If only the police could be persuaded to arrive at the Kings from a HP-sort of direction.

Roseburn ride is coming over the Leamington Lift bridge.

We'll probably be a few minutes after Harrison Park as we have further to go and Telfer Subway to get up...

It all depends on how big HP is as we may find your catch up with your tail :-)

Hi @GreenRoofer, I'll be there at the park tomorrow. Sorry I couldn't marshal with the wee one in tow.

@daisydaisy No worries at all. See you tomorrow :-)

Turn up early if you want a flag: the HP Feeder Ride flags are the subject of much envy on Twitter right now and are likely to become collectors' items...

I saw the flags on twitter. Will set my alarm early to get my hands on one!

We've certainly got the weather for it. Just been for a quick pootle along the Feeder Ride route to check no horrors and to add some direction arrows (until I ran out of chalk) and it was absolutely lovely outside.

    That went well, I reckon.

HUGE thanks to the marshals: @fimm, @jdanielp, @Chug and @ MrSRD. We couldn't have done it without you.

Next year we'll need more flags.

It was great to join up with the West Edinburgh Feeder Ride at Leamington Bridge. Perfect timing!

@Greenroofer no problem - the feeder ride was fun and nice to meet some more CCEers.
