And how do I contact them?
Was nearly killed this morning crossing on the green man. The straight ahead lane is closed due to roadworks and traffic in the middle (right turn) lane is carrying through when it shouldn't/
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

That would be the straight ahead traffic moving on the right turn filter. Not a good idea on a busy crossing, very dangerous
Yeah, it probably wasn't very clear what I meant, but the more I think about it the more it seems like criminal negligence.
I thought the experience was going to be one for the bad driving thread, but there's no signage, no temp lights, no diversion, no change to the signal sequence. It's appalling.
GSV link to the usual setup? Am having problems visualising this.
Aye, that's a shocker. Seems like no-one has had any sort of joined up thinking on that one.
"Straight-on" drivers who are correctly stopping in the (forced into) middle lane when the left-hand lane shows red then get dog's abuse from drivers behind who want to turn right but can't seem to fathom the problem....
Only nearby thing on this list http://edinburgh.cdmf.info/public/disruptions/list.htm seems to be Scottish Power?
'Official advice' is
But it its not a traffic light problem as such...
I'd suggest classically this is a problem that could have been dealt with by Traffic Police Officers.
Not that any exist any more.
Just been thru that Junction. All cones now off the road, so normal service at present.
Yup, saw that on my way home just now. Who at the council is responsible for stuff like this in general? It really was an appalling situation and totally avoidable.
And it was clearly enough to make me go all green ink :s.
There's responsible and responsible- this one sounds like it was down to whoever was doing the work - which probably wasn't CEC.
Obviously there are guidelines/rules they were 'ignorant' of (and/or just common sense.)
Clarence is the official way of reporting stuff, but sometimes that route seems slow...
Twitter gets results, especially if things are 'serious' enough to add in Andrew Burns.
As I went passed layer today I noticed that there was a company name and contact number on one of the signs. However did not get chance to commit to memory.
