  1. So they've officially launched. A friend of mine (who has difficulty walking due to a pretty complex neurological condition) went to a handcycle try out a little while ago out west, and long-story-short, he's now the secretary of a brand new handcycling group in Edinburgh.

    Their website is here.

They've got a couple of events during the EdFoC:

Taster session on Sunday 12th June (I think at Victoria Park.... Can't access the link here at work)

Taster and short led rides on Tuesday 14th June.

Apparently the biggest growth in handcycle sales is actually amongst the 'able-bodied'. I'll be hanving a shot of my mate's 'bike' just as soon as the frame to be able to move it out of the flat and into the lift has been built.

  2. Can't wait to get a shot of this (fingers crossed for next week). It's an absolute beast.

    A meccanno bike. Cool.

They do look like hard work but it looks like great fun. I will look forward to trying to spot him riding it!

Be a good upper-body workout for those of us who's only concession to arm strength is being strong enough to hold on to the handlebars.
