Think the selection is based entirely on reputation and not on form and is plainly wrong.
I love him to bits, but Cav shouldn't be there-he'd be a liability in the Team Pursuit
The reserve in the Mens sprint is who?
Emma Pooley showed yesterday in the women's TT that she isn't up to scratch and her selection ahead of Dani King (a top, top domestique) is just daft. If it means sacrificing the TT to give Lizzie Armitstead the best chance, then so be it.
Cummings' non selection I can understand- he is a lone wolf and wouldn't fit into a team environment riding in someone else's service- would have picked Luke Rowe as well to add balance. Columbia seem to have 5 chiefs and no workers, s we aren't as bad as them, but still...
Also Froome is a GT racer and has never shown any classics form- that is what this requires, so I think he is the wrong leader.
Thank goodness for Laura Trott who should ensure a couple medals.
