    He called Mercedes first as his vehicle was damaged (think that sums him up).

    If he had managed to avoid damaging his vehicle he could have escaped detection. (Ie a big 4x4 with high bumper)

    The fact he had injured someone was a secondary concern.

    Ha. The DA's point is interesting and if true a valid reason for the plea bargain. I presume Mr Erzinger will also be footing the medical bills and loss of earnings for the doctor, who is not your run-of-the-mill GP but a transplant surgeon, and I shouldn't think that there are many of them to the pound, that'll really hurt if that is the case.
