In 2009 this similar idea attracted ridicule - http://www.yankodesign.com/2009/06/29/no-stiff-helmet-for-my-head-please/

In 2016 a design award from a chap who moved his manufacturing operations to Malaysia from Malmesbury.

Excuse me for not being excited on any level.
