Path network overgrown streetlights

It's nice to have lighting on the path network. In a lot of places, trees have grown over the lights leaving big shadows or darkness. It makes things a bit gloomy and less inviting, probably less safe and waste of electricity. For instance at Scotland St tunnel but many other places. Does this come under Council maintenance? I think Greenspace did/do trimming of trees for clearance/sightlines?

I might be willing to volunteer to do some trimming...

    Clearly it *should* be CEC.

It might well be a legitimate use of the cycle budget (pays for off-road gritting).

If it's 'simple', work could/would be done by Local Team (NEPN mostly North), you could engage via Twitter or email.

I think realistically the work will involve high branch removal.

Useful 'volunteer activity' would be to observe the 'worst' lights and note the numbers on them.

Sustrans would know if their rangers are organising work parties.
