    Trunk road and motorway budget up from £820.60m this year to £967.0 next year (I make that an increase of 18%). Active travel funding remains at £39m - same as this year.

    The Cycling, Walking and Safer Streets budget goes up from £5.9m this year to £7.4m next, but it isn't clear whether this increase is included in the £39m total (although I suspect it probably is).

    The total transport budget has increased from £2.284bn to £2.408bn - an increase of 5.4%. So active travel spending as a proportion of total spending has fallen. I make it around 1.6% of total transport expenditure in 2017/18.

    If the total transport budget is going up by £124m, and the Trunk/motorway budget is going up by £146.4m then the rest of central govt transport is getting cut by £22.4m. And local govt is to be cut too?

    Active travel spending of £39m isn't much compared to the planned tax cuts of £160m for air passengers.

    Increased overall after a bit of shuffling;
