    "20 habits that changed readers lives"

    Off topic but with New Year resolutions coming up some good suggestions here including cycling to work. I already do numbers 6, 7, 9, 11 & 12. I'm going to try to start numbers 2 and 18.

    Anyone got any others they can add to the list?

    Madame IWRATS will jump into any body of water provided that most of it is liquid. I barely swam at all before I met her but now own a Lidl wetsuit and regularly but infrequently venture into sea, loch and river.

    The effect on mood is electric and lasts a week.

    No power will persuade me that early rising is superior to late-night productivity (or indeed to late-night pottering about).

    My only resolution is to spend more time with dogs in 2017.

    @unhurt: that is an excellent resolution. I'm currently enjoying the company of two border collies that I'm dogsitting over Xmas/New Year. I'll miss them when they leave.
