Although the driver drove straight at me, didn't indicate and was clearly paying no attention whatsoever the police can't or won't check their phone and although early days no action has been taken against the driver. One can only hope.
!!!
His civil case will be open and shut, but that's just not enough.

Presumably this.. http://citycyclingedinburgh.info/bbpress/topic.php?id=17422
I've seen the same thing happen in broad daylight too. Driver drove straight across in front of a bike heading north, seemingly without looking. The cyclist left quite an impression on the back door of the car, and had a nasty graze on his forehead.
That junction is terrible. I cycle through it every day heading east, and there are always drivers running red lights or cutting across others.

I've been cut up by motorists at this location in exactly the same fashion many, many, many times.

As I said on another thread complain to the police quoting the road traffic law at them. Might be an idea to shame them into action by going to the press if they still don't bother.

That was stomach churning stuff. Had to switch off.
Witnesses clearly important, cant quite work out why plod would not investigate?

That squealing/shouting made my genitals retract. Terrifying. And the situation seemed so anodyne and the rider didn't put a wheel wrong.

No way to avoid that one. Driver did not look. Cycle law should be of use here. Hope the guy is OK.
