Edinburgh's Studio 24 (Calton Road) is hosting the 4th round of the Rollapaluza National Series on Wednesday 1 December.
At a Rollapaluza pairs of cyclists race against each other on custom rollers. Overhead a huge dial shows the audience how you're doing over a simulated 500m distance. Speeds in excess of 50mph have been recorded. Anyone who turns up can have a go. Gradually the field gets smaller as riders are 'eliminated'. Participation is not mandatory. Rollapaluza events are renowned for their atmosphere. It's not every day you have licence to cycle in a bar.

Ticket price: £5. Just turn up and pay at the door. Venue capacity is 200 people so arrive early to avoid disappointment.
