CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Is this on velogames ?
Yes sorry should have done a linkee but is on velogames with the code above
I'm loving this league - reckon I have a better than evens chance of winning.
(I am the only entrant presently).
I am in now Jerry Corb's All Stars
about 10 entered so far (last tine I checked). I might need to change my team, better be quick.
Team Rule 5
team picked, one shot deerhunter style
which probably means a mid-table finish
i'll be well and truly off-grid for the last few weeks of the tour
so i won't be around to see Team SRD swoop in and register their winning squad right before the final stage, a la ToB 2016
of course i'm not bitter... its only a game after all... sheesh...
"swoop in and register their winning squad right before the final stage"
Really?
Is that possible?
Sounds like a good strategy!
it was controversial, certainly
http://citycyclingedinburgh.info/bbpress/topic.php?id=16814
but within the rules
As I explained to ChDot at not-PY, your team must be registered before the start of the Tour.
However, you can join mini-leagues at any time.
MrSrd was just rather slow to get around to joining the 'correct' CCE mini-league last time.
Twenty two members of the CCE mini-league now.
@MrSRD
your integrity is unquestionable, good sir !
i salute your courage, your strength, your indefatigability.
right, lets get on with it
Link?
Thought about changing team to Sagan and Froome but where is the fun in that?
exactly. I think i'll regret not having bardet though.
spent the morning listening to podcasts, second guessing my choices. only made one last minute swap though (Yates for G)
@srd, ooh, dropped G? I aleady dropped him and now feel I should have stuck with my old Quintana, Thomas, Cav formAtion I always used to favour
yes, i have tended to a similar lineup, but Q hasn't seemed a good bet of late. and everyone said G couldn' still be in good shape after the giro. gah.
kicking myself. luckily miniSRd says I can be on her team.
just delighted for G in real life though. what a triumph. first stage win and first yellow jersey.
Oh dear, I knew I should have included today's winner :(
I was doing okay after stage one but the wheels seem to have fallen off since then.
I picked my team by a rather dodgy method; osmosis. Not doing too badly considering.
My excuse is that I have a startup team
All my team bar one have points. Not many points but at least we are a team, not a big name pedal unclipping showman ( I do like him but too easy to pick him for your team)
Sagan out - sigh .... I was going to struggle not to finish last as it was.
Spoiler alert above
@G - oops. I didn't think this was a spoiler free zone.
Illustrious leader has this year tried to create a thread if you want to discuss events before 8pm when the highlights finish.
Other Tour de France threads to remain spoiler free.
Having looked at the footag a bit, they are going so fast that it is almost instinctive from Sagan but definitely takes cav out and then cav takes someone else out.
Greipel is scoring most of my points.
One tactic I did use in selecting was to avoid choosing riders that I like, to improve my chance of feeling happy about the results. But not feeling too happy today. Two big characters out :(
@amir yes, hence my Greipel
do not like Froomey so much I am afraid, and such is my lack of empathy with him, I won't even put him in the greipel team. However, part of that is because he is too obvious and easy a pick.
Sagan I do like but do not pick because he is so obvious and has such big elbows. Wheelies still epic
