    Apologies for double thread posts.

All the previous Great Glen threads seem to be from dates prior to the completion of this new route.

So my question is, has anyone cycled the new route at all? On a touring, hybrid or road bike? (Thinking of taking a tourer, so no MTB hill trail madness for me).

    Any advice appreciated.

Cycled from Cille Chuimein to Laggan on my (uprated) hybrid with Madame last year and you'd be fine on a road bike there. The Loch Lochy stretch is forest road - fine for a hybrid, bit sketchy for road tyres.

The Loch Ness section is lovely tarmac, I'd recommend a detour up the Inverfarigaig corkscrew, Torness and Loch Duntelchaig with descent back to Loch Ness by Tighe-na-Coille. Crumbling tarmac at the top of the corkscrew but still road bikeable.
