Well, in weather like this, they need the insulation
They'll be feeding off that blubber for the next fortnight seeing as we're all trapped in our homes by these unprecedented conditions...
"More than one in ten primary one children in Midlothian is now considered clinically obese - the worst rate in the country.
Edinburgh doesn't fare much better, with more than one in nine failing the weight test."

"More than one in ten Evening News reporters failed maths at school"
"Active transport can help shift £50-billion worth of blubber"
There is no way Edinburgh's children are more obese than Coatbridge's children and Glasgow tops obesity, alcohol, early death tables for whole of Europe every year
In some ways it's worse than just Glasgow. It's Shettleston and other similar areas. If you're in a leafy suburb of Glasgow you live much longer. Some of it is due to premature deaths from drug abuse.
Coatbridge won the overall lard award but not a specific kid's one.
