    I read this on the beeb. It made me not want to read any more. The driver of the car apparently tested positive for marijuana.

    Moota is a "fast" stretch of busy road (the main road down to West Cumbria) and would certainly not be my choice for cycling. It's a notorious bit of road for crashes, mainly because it's a straight stretch so people try and overtake on it (often with some overconfidence in their car's ability to provide the requisite acceleration), without taking into account the turn offs and blind summit.

    However, the report says the coach was travelling in the same direction as the cyclists. If no other vehicles were involved, I'm struggling to see how this could happen beyond appalling driving.
