Feedback from previous Pedal on Parliaments has been that the lack of places to pee at the Parliament is a problem. Especally if it's cold, you are young, or older, or had too much coffee (this latter is me, every time). We're not in a position to provide facilities, so would at least like to put together a comprehensive guide to Places to Go along the route and post it on the website. (Will also mean marshals will be able to direct people more easily.)

So: I want to know about every public convenience and every welcoming bar/cafe/venue/museum/gallery/place of worship bog from the Meadows to the Parliament (probable route).

Bonus points for info about accessible toilets & baby changing facilities.

    Cheers in advance.

I'll drop Her Maj a wee note, let her know to expect us. (We're not friends on facebook so it'll have to be a Twitter DM.)

Dynamic Earth. Manky bogs in the café at the playpark at the east of the Meadows. What's that building on the grass behind the palace?

Edinburgh’s lack of toilets and the “decayed” state of Holyrood Chapel are among the intriguing observations in an unpublished diary kept by a young navy officer on a tour of Scotland 200 years ago.

According to OpenStreetMap, yes, but there's a fee.

Netherbow Storytelling Centre is child friendly.

Queenie should be out there on a sunday stopping cars being driven by their owners through her park (especially if we cannae use her loos)

Presumably, from previous years, the fee free toilets behind what I think is called the Queen's Gallery are known about?

Not very big and sometimes a queue but still.

Hardly worth going through security to use those in the Parliament, and the coffee ain't great to justify it.

There's a Changing Places toilet* within the Parliament building itself, or in Waverley Station.

*ie a proper accessible toilet with hoist and table, rather than just a big normal toilet...

There's a couple of toilets outside the education centre and a larger set inside. I have never been charged a fee but they are sometimes locked.

Speaking to the HES ranger service may get you access. They are presumably not going to be keen on people micturating elsewhere in Queenie's park...
