@Gembo, I rode the route this morning with the trailer. I can get around all the barriers, but it is not easy. I think we are best to go down the shared path along side Gogar Station road to join the canal. This will avoid the need to dump up and down kerbs and open/close gates.

@Frenchy, Thanks for the alternative route planner. I will try to add our meeting/way points onto this.

As mentioned earlier, there's been some chat re a Fife feeder ride. There's been lots of I'll go / count me in comments, but no-one jumping in to help yet.

I suspect that will come closer to the event, so I'll make routes/timings etc available at the weekend, and make a fuss on Twitter / Facebook. Sure I'll be able to find someone to Lead groups from Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline to Dalgety Bay where we can converge.

Consider a fife feeder as 'on'.

You only have to get to Queensferry before you can join this lot

Porty Feeder Ride online now https://www.facebook.com/events/207183473360179/

Can we make a plea for details of any more Feeder rides?

    So far we have

    Portobello
    Leith
    Queensferry
West Edinburgh (inc Hermiston P&R & Corstorphine)
    Harrison Park

We're having a go at plotting them on a map to help with planning - still a big gap to the South. Frenchy/Roibeard were you plotting something?

Also anyone fancy doing something from Granton/Trinity? Could just be the case of coming along NEPN to Russell Road and joining up with West Edinburgh...

I've just dropped an email to my Talking Tandems contact to see if they're planning on coming again. If so, they might form an option for a fife feeder ride

Yes, the Sherrifhall/Inch/Newington ride is being organised...

Same timings as last year, and Bike Station are happy with us using them as the final assembly point.

    Facebook to follow...

Looks like we have a Fife feeder ride starting from Kirkcaldy https://www.facebook.com/events/1047274962080298/

Yep, I've created event, and will get a route map up soon, I've also asked for some local volunteers to help from various places.
I've injured my thigh muscle, and hop(p)ing to be able to ride in person, but if I can't I'm sure there will be enough people with experience to lead the ride if required.

There is now an interactive map of the feeder rides.

    https://pedalonparliament.org/pop-edinburgh/getting-there/

Still lots of gaps in the map though...

Can anyone help with a NEPN ride, to join up with West Edinburgh FR at Russell Road Zigzags?

Anybody doubting this is now a reality - I just hoovered a year's dust off my fez.

    See you all there.

The fez can pick up a lot of dust over the year

@Gembo has a robotic mechanical headgear storage carousel. Museum grade. Vacuum packed. Networked to Facebook.

Fez a hard piece to wear in either social or business context now that the Ottoman empire seems to have gone for good.

Is there a POP2018 poster? Hoping to publicise the event at work and beyond.

Fez felt attracts dust. Maybe even at proportion of stoor.

I will sport my Tam O'Shanter from the Isle of Lewis via the old SNP shop in North Berwick

I believe we're awaiting Humza Yousaf's response to his invite. But both of the above would also be made welcome.

@gembo oh yes I think so. It's a good thing all PoP organisers are OBLIGATED to wear one on the day I think.
