My last week commuting.....

    So a short usually sweet but sometimes sour 7 months of commuting from Dalgety Bay to Crewe Toll comes to and end this week

    I've enjoyed the riding mostly, although as many of you on here know, i've had my fair share of problems with the bike and motiviation on the cycle paths and their stop/start nature.

    The most thing i've enjoyed is this forum and the help and banter that comes with it - bravo everyone, and long may it continue helping others like me into commuting around Edinburgh, its wildlife, its cafes and its WEATHER :)

    I've got a job down near the Yorkshire Dales and will be living in Ilkley and doing a 50min cycle commute to work (all A roads!) but at the weekends have the Dales as my playground - somewhere i've always loved and spent many a holiday and could only have dreamed of working & living there.

    Absence from the EH commuting area doesn’t mean you have to stop posting.

    There isn’t a CCYorkshire you know.

    AND you’ll get more ice/snow!

    Ilkley is lovely (bit of a theme park now but that is the downside of popularity). Alas Rumbolds' Hotel sold to property developers.

    Do not fancy those A roads.

    thanks everyone - i'll continue to "contribute" here as much as i can , and yes probably lots of images of real yorkshire beer and associated food noshing.

    I hope everything goes well in the new job and location. Thank you again for the frame you sold me last month. I took it out for the first time yesterday and it was absolutely wonderful.

    @Cyclingmollie - wow , great pics, glad your enjoying it - hope it gives you plenty of enjoyment of the summer months!!!!

    I'll be out of here on 1st April (no fool!) so its all quick as you like and by 'eck i'll be riding up some dales hills before you can smack me in the face with a yorkshire pudding ;)
