    i often wonder what the "problem" is with trees - there is so much free space or recently renovated space , as well as new housing developments thats just grass (mostly new bushes or two or three tiny trees)
    in this day and age we should be forcing as many trees into as many spots as possible - even going so far as to forcing businesses/investment companies who are "land sitting" to plant trees until they actually develop on the land.
    If you go around the new housing estates in dunfermline you can be amazed at how much bare grass land there is....

    @rider73- agree on trees and hedgerows. Noticed on my way home Tuesday that they were chopping down a lot of trees on the sliproad beneath the S side of the FRB. Incredibly short sighted.
