    Fellow Cyclists,

The fourth annual Thomas Muir lecture will take place on the 24th of August at St Mary's cathedral. All will be warmly welcomed.

Muir was one of the prime instigators of Scottish and British representative democracy. His life story is almost too radge to believe but all too real. We should all remember him, particularly in these dark days, every time we spy the Calton obelisk, dedicated to him and the other Edinburgh Matyrs.

This year the speaker is Gerda Stevenson, poet, actor, writer, musician, director and activist. I suspect she will be superb, speaking around her most recent book 'Quines', a collection of poetry about Scottish women across the ages.

At least two CCEers will be involved on the night.

Would come but should be somewhere near Badger, Newfoundland at the time and thus it's a bit of a step.

@iwrats sounds good. I mentioned one of the CCE participants In the bookshop thread as this is also linked to the golden hare and the other place, the anarchist or former anarchist shoppe, I think started by Ramsay Canaan that managed to get old Noam across way back in the day.
