    @gembo

    I will be there or hold my manhood cheap. Timing depends on the dweeb running the thing I have to go to first.

    After late train and a quick ride across town I arrived just in time to watch IWRATS and unhurt put on their coats, and to watch their stuff while they popped to the loo.

    Lovely to see them anyway! Hope everyone had a tiptoptime.

    Enjoyed that but jeezo. Trying to get across Edinburgh west to east. Not easy.

    The rain striated in my full beam. Must be flickering at heart.

    Doggers all parked up on Braid Hills Drive. 'You are very strange.' I muttered to one as he shifted driver's to passenger side.

    My ride home was dogger-free. Feel slightly cheated.

    Almost no traffic at all heading west, one or two taxis. The Spylaw has a lot of carpet but not as much as Oblomov's used to have on their tables.

    I was working in That Glasgow yesterday and couldn't contrive a way to stay in the office until 7pm, in readiness to catch a train into Edinburgh for 8pm, in order to arrive at Spylaw for 8.30pm having not already succumbed to the need for food. Slightly bothered about the prospect of riding home at somewhat silly o'clock in the evening and then having to get up early to battle the pre-rush hour rush hour caused by everyone trying to get onto the bypass at Straiton because the A703 is still closed (to motors).

    Met up with Tulyar instead, had dinner, got back into Edinburgh at 8.51pm and rode home in the drizzle. The Brompton's not too inefficient it turns out, the wee Marathons roll better than I expected, though it still took 45 minutes.

    I have never dug a hole in Northern Ireland. @unhurt has never carried a bucket of quicksilver.
