Oops ! Gliders, yes all cable launched except at Linton on Ouse, so , and me were 1333 grangemouth sqn . Zero military history in my family, but my son really enjoyed it!! He flew the grob trainers at both leuchars and Glasgow, flew a Cessna at Glenrothes and piper warrior at Dundee.gliding at both condor, Kirknewton and obv Linton. I never did any, flights were offered to “ staff” and helpers but always gave them to the kids, we organised funding from a charity that enabled us to use the warrior, we also took other kids, from care homes or from special needs schools etc up in the air too. The change in a cocky 14 year olds attitude when they realise that their 16 year old mate is going to fly them over Dundee is priceless!! The smiles when they touch back down also !!! Good days ,
