Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

Hm, it says "almost three miles each way" in the first paragraph. Further on:
"Mother-of-two Lesley Crow, from Eskbank, said councils were obliged to provide free transport for pupils living more than three miles from school. Easthouses, Eskbank and Mayfield are around 2.8 miles from the Dalkeith campus."
Not every kid's cup of tea of course, but my son was walking that distance to school until recently. Takes about 40 minutes or so. Since we found him a safe cycling route, he prefers to cycle instead (about 3.5 miles each way).
