Bolt cutters apprehended in Polwarth

Being the evening news this was simply scraped from Reddit a couple of days ago, and the bolt cutters this guy had were absolutely massive, the sort of thing that would chew through the bannister let alone most locks!
Don’t know why the EEN didn’t show them, as the helpfully provided banana for scale was a great picture.

Also picture of the thief, lot of use of the C word, and a banana for scale with people then asking how big is the banana?
The chap who acquired the bolt cutters walked out of his flat and encountered the thief. The thief then went up to the top floor and pretended to have a conversation with a neighbour.
The thief then left and the resident went upstairs where he found no neighbours in but the bolt cutters left lying.
The resident took the bolt cutters.
The thief returned a few minutes later and the resident took his picture.
The Reddit posters then think the thief is going to be charged. However,mhe appears to have separated himself from the bolt cutters so I am not sure.
