Only if you use all the teeth and some of the bones to make a necklace & head-dress/circlet combo.

    And wear them to PY.

Been riding various pedelecs for 6 years now. Have a Moustache with Bosch active line plus motor. I find if I am cycling at 16mph I don't need the motor anyway.

Mostly commute from Drumbrae roundabout to Teviot and periodically between Teviot and RIE. Usually carrying 5-6kg worth of stuff in the panniers.

It makes the uphill and headwind stretches easier and more consistent. If I want to work hard I can otherwise I set it on something that makes for a comfortable riding experience and doesn't build up much more of a sweat than walking.

Joycean scholar/mummers claim potato Jewish funereal symbol. In fact potato dishes trad after funeral in Judaism.

"It was fast! Made climbing almost as much fun as descendents."

I'm intrigued and feel we should be told if this is first or second generation descendents.

"I thought about an eBike for years after first trying one on holiday. I was a bit put-off by the sheer weight of the eMTB bikes though, as I'd likely do myself a mischief lugging one up and down 4 flights of stairs to and from the flat."

This is why Mrs ECT took so long deciding on one. They were all weighing in over 20Kg. Too much for her to lug up to our first floor flat.

The Orbea is about 14Kg off the shelf. even with her additional bottle cages, mudguards, lights etc its in the zone for her managing without a major struggle. They do a lighter (carbon) version for under 3 grand. Ribble seem to do an identical bike slightly keener priced.

Ribble also offer an additional battery(doubling its range) which fits in a bottle cage. This is £500 though, but possibly worth it if touring is to be an option

'IWRATS won the "least likely to use Strava" award at the CCE awards last year.'

Harumph. I, crowriver, am infinitely less likely to ever use STRAVA (spit!). I declare these awards a stitch up!

I'm least likely to use what?

I'm aware it's somewhat the antithesis to this thread, but I've also had an ebike on loan in recent weeks thanks to the generosity or Laid Back Bikes and have conducted analysis with graphs, data, and the word "median" used in cold blood.

You mean anti-thesis as in you are using actual timings and related data (very nice box and whisker graphs btw)?

As you are making same conclusions as this thread, or my head’s version of the tread where it says 75% of the exercise from a non-e bike. E bike better up hil and into wind etc.

I was, indeed, antithesisising about the reference to Strava, supra, rather than any other conclusions regarded ebikes.

And thank you. I am deeply fond of box and whiskers, but it does irk me how much manipulation you need to do to get Excel to produce them. At some point I'm going to learn R again (note to future self; it's ok, that was a lie).

@darkerside, yes Monsieur IWRATS, has a ten pound burner phone. How crazy is that in this day and age. Why not get a smart phone then when it breaks get your mum to buy you a new one then get it stolen one week later leaving your mum to pay off a two year contract. Thank F that I was at the top of Suilven (the hard way) when this happened. My suggestion of a ten pound burner phone on a pay as you go deal (like IWRATS and any other crazies) did not go down well. Nor did my cleverer one where Garto gives number one daughter her phone and buys herself a new one. I thought that was good given my 4 hours of bog hopping and one hour of mental scree scrambling before I suggested it).

Showing a party from Das Nederlands aropund a school today and big chap Matthias is giving me the old How Fast DOes Your Bike Go - I translated for him and said 25kmh. He said I have a pedelec goes at 45kmh. I said but you have the segregated infrastructure. He agreed.

Think they had a good visit, school was a beacon of calm and inclusion.

I shall be trailing in his wake on the way to the eiries next year. Not this year sadly.
