First patches of frost and frozen puddles on country roads west of Edinburgh this cloudless morning. Livingston looked like a frosty wonderland with most foliage covered in frost.

grit on NMW this morning! (only the bike side!) has it been that way all week? has it finally been included as priority 1? or is it just random/a mistake?

SRD - first time this week. Gritted all the way up to the very top of Leamington Walk, which I'm sure you will be glad to hear.

excellent! although LW is priority 1, i think? haven't looked at that in a while.
i always think LW needs gritting at least a week earlier than the rest of the paths, owing to it's exposure and height.

The grit seemed unnecessary though since it was dry? The plaza outside Boroughmuir High was also heavily gritted.

haymarket last night was blanketed in it.

No frost on the paths between Leith and Ed Park this morning, despite my Garmin measuring the temp as being -1C for a lot of my route!

I usually switch the heating off at night as I like waking up to a cold house. Though no3 child has started emulating her older sister by leaving doors open in middle of night (or at least after I have gone to bed). THis is punishable by death as makes things too cold.
However as clocks have changed the heating comes on an hour earlier if I forget to switch it off.
Result - I am boiling
