I do hope that the student whose placard appears in the third photo in that article wasn't taking English...

    Certainly didn’t sit an exam

I was up the atholl palace years ago mid May before the refit. At a seminar where the host started asking, What is the affect of the effect? Murder always close to my mind at the atholl palace as they filmed The Shining there. But instead I said I had to make a Trunk Call and went for swim in the outdoor pool. The last laugh was on me as when I went to the sauna to heat up i found it had not been on all day and needed 20p pieces to make it work Brrrrr.

Looking at my comment again, clearly I didn't either. ;) And beyond the 1 hour fix window too, ahhh.

The chairman of Ireland’s tourism authority has resigned after defying government guidance to avoid all non-essential travel by going on holiday to Italy.

Michael Cawley, Ryanair’s former chief operating officer, handed in his resignation on Saturday after details of his Italian excursion were revealed by the Irish Independent.

I am wondering what is going on in the heads of the driving population just now. The traffic going through Stow in the past few days is like nothing I’ve ever seen. Sunday mornings have always been relatively quiet but today it has been one unending convoy of traffic all day long. It’s like everybody is determined to get their driving fix in before another lockdown happens. I couldn’t face cycling the A7 any more, it’s just relentless.

Lots of very crowded looking pubs round town in Friday evening. Lots of incautious inebriates wandering across streets. Hopefully anyone with school-age children is staying out of pubs for now.

Also, when I popped to Ocean Terminal Boots yesterday for urgent medical supplies there was a record and CD fair in the entrance bit, with lots of records and CDs just sitting in boxes on tables for people to finger and poke at. Seemed a bad idea.

today it has been one unending convoy of traffic all day long

noted that myself this morning, obscene scenes on rural roads

could it be work from homers getting the motor out after they have sat doing nothing all week

Whilst we were waiting for Urchaidh at Blair Atholl today (it was fine) the chap with the Scottie Dogs was telling us that the first weekend when lockdown was lifted - 100 motorbikes visited Blair Atholl

The A68 is closed at Fala for possibly quite a while and the diversion is through Stow.

The A68 might be gloriously quiet, though.

Unsurprisingly business has quite a strong opinion on getting commuter footfall back through the door.

Conversely we're not likely to be back in the office at least this year, and if you believe some people potentially not ever.

Bunch of secondary school age teenage girls in uniforms huddled in the Rose St back alley where my work bike store exits.

About 6 of them almost on top of each other eating macdonalds and sharing a magic cigarette or two.

Literally nothing they were doing suggested any consideration whatsoever of the fact we've still got a pandemic.

Not sure it's just the kids, there was an indoor gathering of more than 3 households, and definately not socially distanced next door at the weekend.

Make comment on FB, got an earfull.

Six out of eight people on the top deck of the 26 today not wearing masks. If you have any concern for your own or others' safety stay downstairs.

Scotland has recorded its biggest daily rise in cases for more than three months. In an update the Scottish government said a further 123 people had tested positive taking Scotland total to 19,728 cases. This is the first time there has been a three-figure increase in cases since May.

Police had to disperse a large party last night (aka rave) near Newtongrange.
Small roads round about jammed with abandoned cars. Large house rented to pseudo family. Party was celebration by Covid Deniers wanting to 'spread the love' (!)
Reports from partner of a customer (also
    a forumer).
Police flushed the last people out at 4.30am.
