I repeated my pun from the spotted thread in response to gembo, but now it doesn't work because of the page turn.

Mr fimm and I are now sitting in the same room listening to different things on headphones (he likes podcasts, I find them distracting).

Plenty of fresh fruit and veg in Porty Aldi. Filled a basket and pannier with one each of a range of items. Telfertrome sorting office counter practising non-contact parcel collection. Beach and prom quite busy but distance able to be kept from all except the oaf with an unwatched dog which tried to sniff my shopping.

Government advice is to stay at home, but a local Tory councillor is calling for suspension of arming parking charges to encourage people to use local shops.

Yeah. Not remotely worrying given that even now mental health powers can be abused. (Ask for help, not available. React to this? Sectioned. No appeal.)

Wife has had a couple of bad days but looks like she’s improving now. I managed to walk round the house 10 times. I’m totally done in.

@IWRATS, "How did they get this written in a week?"

They didn't. I first read about emergency powers legislation being drafted sometime last month...

For anyone who's been following the news, most of what is happening this week shouldn't have been a surprise. However many folk don't watch/read the news. Some clearly do though - start of loo roll panic buying was nearly a fortnight ago already!

Sainsburys cleaned out Lidl OK. Rationing for basics now in effect and I did score some tomatoes and coffee.

Stand by for the first pasta ram raid.

That Uruguay article is corking. The socialite seems unrepentant. She has perhaps not judged the mood of her country.

On the radio there I was despairing of a person who went on holiday to Egypt last week and now cant get back. What did she think was going to happen?
