@acsimpson: On the airline pilots' online forums passengers are often referred to as "SLF" - short for Self Loading Freight.

Halfords is reopening its stores after initial confusion over government lockdown guidance

    https://www.theguardian.com/business/2020/mar/25/businesses-ask-for-clarity-confusion-uk-lockdown-open-staff

Presume staff will ‘sleep-in” so they don’t have to travel to work??

"In accordance with Government and medical advice, the Prince and the Duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland."

within that article, I would love to see a link to articles condemning tourists trying to self-isolate in rural communities...

A mile isn't bad, at least you got out. Keep on keeping on.

Just jogged round Craigmillar Hill. Lights off through the trees a couple of times to keep my distance. Most folk fine couple on bikes with kids in trailer utterly oblivious.

I wanted a day off the bike so took a walk with my OH. Man, it's stressful/exciting. There are so many people that have taken up exercising, to be seen in places little frequented before. A lot of crossing roads and diversions, but some folk don't seem to care.

Being back on the bike tomorrow will be less stressful though there's still quite a lot of traffic on the road (and evidence of activities incompatible with gov rulings).

    Spring is definitely sprouting

Relative who lives on Tiree (population 600) said that there are around 20 cases on the island. Her cousin who lives outside London passed away from it last week.

I was intending on running for the foreseeable able but yesterdays incident where I got too close for the comfort of the angry man has somewhat discouraged me. Its just too damn busy round me.

Was down in the wasteland my pre-tea post work hangout, collecting wood to chop and burn and Coughing Cyclist Guy came past. What a whanger.

Can I make a plea to any runners. Please realise that if you are working at max effort, your lungs are putting out a whole load more potentially infectious material than they would normally. So running uphill at speed, panting like a steam engine, means that passing a couple of feet away from people on a narrow woodland path (Costorphine Hill) really isn't a great idea.

Honestly, I doubt it makes any difference outside, the wind is going to disperse any droplets much faster than in a supermarket so even from a panting runner (or cyclist) you're unlikely to get a sufficient dose of the virus to make you ill.

    The madness continues.

Gov advisor says ‘NHS might cope if you all follow guidelines’.

Gov Minister (C4 news) welcomes all the NHS volunteers that have offered to help, ‘lots of things they can do, inc drive people to hospital...’

Sorry #steveo. My wife, who is a surgeon, begs to differ. Especially in woodland where there is less wind.
