Big brother and e bikes?

    Of course motor scooter / brommers are now banned from using cycle paths in Amsterdam

    Back lash took place in April 2019. Not sure what current situation is. Dutch used to using convenient bike ways on two wheels - fast e-bikes just another itteration.

    Henny - the wife of bike shop owner we know in Amsterdam - was knocked off her bike couple of years back by scooter going too fast and not giving way at cycle path junction. Broken collarbone and her commute to Utrecht became much longer as she was off cycling for a while. Usually took her bike to station and then picked up her rustier second bike at other end (very Dutch solution as no way can you take bike on rush hour train).

    @LaidBack - my understanding is that the Dutch scooters don't have an upper speed limit, while the UK has one of 15mph.
