As good a thread as any to ask:

Is car ownership data available anywhere below local authority level? So by council ward, community council, "intermediate data zone" etc.

believe that it's part of the census/travel review stuff that happens every few years. It's why we know that there are less than 50% of households in Edinburgh that have access to a car. Although last census was 2011.

Numbers probably here somewhere here via tables: https://www.scotlandscensus.gov.uk/ods-web/standard-outputs.html

Ta. Looks like the "Distance travelled to work by car or van availability" data there is pretty close to what I want - although it's only counting people in employment between ages of 16 and 74..

The DVLA will sell you such anonymised data but I wouldn't imagine it's cheap.

To be fair, if you live outside of a city and potentially want to go to more than 2 places, busses are quite inadequate.

After Covid, most of the companies will also be insolvent...
