Or Budgie Day as I used to say when I knew people who had budgies but I didn’t know what a budget was!

@chdot - thank you for concise listings
Curious about Devolution comment!
Budget ignoring climate, is a perfect time to put up fuel duty as fuel prices are coming down. People will not be travelling as much? Leadership should also be about thinking to beyond end of an event.
Apart from those doing 30 mile trips scouring supermarkets for soap and hand gel!@patrickharvie
"£27bn of tarmac" - the UK Government is still unable to break its addiction to roadbuilding. This is not the infrastructure programme a country needs for a sustainable future. #Budget2020Consequential for Scotland can be allocated elsewhere of course.

Devolution is '£640 million for Scot Gov'. Remains to be seen in what form or how it's financed.

How could anyone doubt it!!
BUT BUT BUT
Can’t imagine the worry and inevitable trauma that won’t instantly disappear.
Don’t suppose he gets any compensation - apart from a degree of satisfaction and (probably) determination to carry on.

"increase taxes on pollution" - but not on fuel for IC-engined cars. Hmm.

I don’t think it was in budget speech, higher tax on tobacco.

Virus is a threat but the ideal chance to reduce car use and enable more flexible working. As government is printing money it may as well take some back. Cheap fuel has no environmental benefit unless they plan to reduce public transport costs and take vat off bikes.
