Last thing I reported to the police was a large dog growling into my genitals with its teeth bared as the owner shouted at me. I was out running.
I thought I'd pre-empt any accusations from her.
Cops said unless it got a mouthful of flesh off me there was basically nothing they could do which does suggest that a dog is an excellent weapon at present.

for me, its more that irresponsible dog owners put their dogs at risk of being injured by me
its not the dogs fault, and its not my fault
