    A road collision investigation branch could finally provide answers about motoring deaths - Alastair Dalton

    Reporting on crashes and casualties is thankfully becoming a slowly diminishing aspect of my job covering transport.

    See also the current mandated duty on Edinburgh Council, to investigate crashes, and from those reports, take action to prevent future crashes on existing & new roads (Section 39 RTA 1988)

    Nothing of this process is published, but FoI can dig for the detail plus of course its dreadfully flawed - telling themselves what's wrong with their roads.....
