    Statement within the link that the study was carefully designed,

    And the point they are making is peak noise over average noise so it is quite fine grained.

    Would need to cancel out for poverty, as there is a tendency to find schools in poorer areas nearer roads. They used 38 schools so I think they will have checked for this.

    Noise rather than pollution is interesting as they are arguing electric cars will take away the pollution but not the noise of the tyres on the tarmac.

    We had some weaker data linked to the bypass many years ago. Families living near the bypass had more children going to special schools, wasnt a big enough number to publish but have always remembered this insight from a very astute colleague whose task was not initially bypass related but she spotted the trend in the data.
