in our long list of biased (or just bad) survey questions, this takes the cake:

note also that you have to 'download' and then email or post (!) the reply back....

Laidback may wish to reply as a business owner....

how more choice can be given to businesses and consumers over the units of measurement they use for trade, while ensuring that measurement information remains accurate. The evidence gathered from this consultation will inform the Government’s plans to provide a choice on weights and measures for consumer transactions.

Have Covid - so not up to responding much. That's really about English self governance and the right of people in that country to choose measures that are less European / less global?

I thought that we were supposed to become more global after leaving the EU?

Actually I think this nonsense is about our current PM trying to drag us back to the 1950s (a period of history her never actually knew, having been born in 1964 - and in the US to boot) and/or to appeal to those who look back fondly on that era when rationing was finally brought to an end but national service was still compulsory (which could explain the otherwise almost laughable postal response option).

His next move will probably be to make it compulsory for all children lower than prep school age to have a nanny, or some such divorced-from-reality back-to-the-good-old-days garbage.

P.S. Sorry to hear that you're having a rough time with Covid. Get well soon.

Were these Covid reports linked to Tuesday's event perhaps?

    That's got me worrying...
