IT’S TRUE!

Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Can someone remind me of the magic prefix to get around the paywall?
You're probably thinking of "12ft.io" aka 12ft Ladder, but that hasn't worked for a good while now. The 12ft.io web site is non-responsive.
The other alternative which used to be quite handy was archive.is. That wasn't a prefix as such, you went to the archive.is web site, entered the URL of the paywalled site and it would either download a paywall-free version, or someone would have asked for it already and it would just give you the URL for the already de-paywalled version. However, I just tried the Edinburgh inquirer link on it and unfortunately it failed dismally to bypass the paywall.
A search for "12ft.io alternative" will likely turn up a number of other candidate paywall busters but a quick scan suggests that none of them are as straightforward to use as those two used to be :(
